Although always active, Rhett was an overweight kid from an overweight family. By his early teens, he decided he wanted to lose weight. Through trial and error- mainly error- he achieved his goal but developed an unhealthy relationship with food and struggled with self-image issues for most of his teens. Eventually, he came to understand the marriage between food, fitness, and overall health, and now he strives to help others avoid the same mistakes he did.
Rhett first became seriously interested in fitness after he purchased his first mountain bike from Scott’s Cycle and Sports right after high school. He entered his first race shortly after and the rest is history. He has competed in cross country mountain bike racing, trail running, and currently trains and competes in the martial arts of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Muay Thai.
Professionally, Rhett specializes in functional fitness, weight loss, and sports specific conditioning. Whether you are a high school athlete wanting to take your game to the next level, an older adult chasing your grand kids, or anyone looking to learn to lose weight in a healthy and sustainable fashion, Rhett can help you achieve your goals!
He is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise and holds specialty certifications in Fitness Nutrition and Sports Conditioning.
